An interesting fact: I graduated again. June 7th would have marked my fourth university graduation ceremony. At last, I was looking forward to this one. However, today, June 18th, I attended my virtual convocation.
As shown in the picture, there I was attending my first convocation in 2011. That was nine years ago. Wow, I can’t believe how time flies. In 2011, I was in my early 20s and today I am in my early 30s. Well, now you can guess my age :).
After that, I completed two other programs but chose not to attend the convocations; I wasn’t feeling them. Although I had completed two great programs, I didn’t feel satisfied. I wasn’t sure if I had chosen the right path. Today, I understand that I just wanted more. More knowledge, more wisdom, more experience, more friends, more grace, more joy, more love, more peace and more growth. I desired more for my life and will always desire more. Time has flown by, life has evolved and I have achieved more.
Four years after my last degree, I have just completed another one. A degree I always wanted to pursue. A program I looked forward to completing someday. Today, I have a degree in Translation and I can officially translate documents without any questions. I am now a translator and welcome all your translation requests. Thank you to all my support system; you guys are the real MVPs.
I looked forward to attending my convocation ceremony. My colleagues and I learned so much and had a lot of fun throughout our studies, so we had planned a dinner reception after the ceremony. We were all excited, but then COVID-19 hit and our plans got thrown out the window. Nonetheless, we all graduated today; we will receive our diplomas by mail. YES, WE DID IT.
Now I am excited to shine brighter than ever before. Fellow colleagues, class of 2020, we made it; we passed all those exams and internships. Let’s get out and achieve greatness; let’s be the change we want to see. Let’s be the best version of ourselves.
Stay blessed as you continuously pursue your dreams.
