Something strange happened to me recently. I went zip lining with a group of friends at Camp fortune. The venue was great, and the company offered great service. The guides were excellent, but the question is: did we all enjoy ourselves? Some people enjoyed themselves, while others like me didn’t fully enjoy.
It was great. The experience was great. However, I almost fainted while on a zipline. I felt dizzy and started panting. I couldn’t do it any longer. Unfortunately, there was no way out. No ladder, I was already on the edge of the tree to get onto the 2nd zipline. If there was a ladder, I would have gone down and never ever look up again.
I was lucky enough to have a friend with me at that very moment. I got scared for a second. I panicked and my friend had to call the guide to come help. Since there was no way out, he talked me into picking myself back up and bracing the giant to try again. I was hesitant but tried again until I successfully completed the final three ziplines. It was an epic adventure, which is now making me think and rethink about life.
To date, I recall four times when I got dizzy; I felt the dizziness coming and then fainted. Do I need to go for a checkup? Am I ok? What do I need? Anyway, I need to do something about it.
Now you are probably wondering how our adventure ended. It ended up nicely. We rounded off the adventure with a hike at Pink Lake. It was beautiful. The water was sparkling green. The landscape was breathtaking.
From this adventure, I learned something very captivating and interesting. It is the tendency to give up easily that makes us unsuccessful. I almost gave up, but some people lifted me and encouraged me to keep going. So we all need a support system around us to help us thrive. I also learned that the more you discover things, the more you discover yourself. You learn about yourself by doing things that are beyond your comfort zone.
I encourage you to go forth and live your best life.
Stay blessed and have a great weekend!
